Overview 

The BRITA Meter will need to be replaced when it runs out of battery. It tells the lifetime of the filter in your jug. The four bars represent the four weeks of the filter's lifetime and one will disappear for each week. Once all bars have disappeared, the filter will need to be replaced.

How do I replace it?

Simply pull out the old jug timer and insert the new one in its place.

Is there a difference between the XL meter and the Cool meter? 

Yes, this meter is only suited for the 3.5L size and will not fit in the 2.4L Elemaris Jug.
